Welcome back to the screening room.
Direct filmmaker uploads are on the way — every filmmaker gets a page of their own. For now, send us a private link (Vimeo, Drive, anything we can press play on) and we'll get your film up. A human reads every submission.
KEE-NO-LITH · CINEMA, CARVED IN STONE
Kinolith is a screening room, not a feed. Every film here was chosen by a person who watched it, cared about it, and wrote down why. No algorithm decides what you see next. No ads interrupt the picture. Nothing autoplays you down a rabbit hole at 2 a.m.
We believe independent films deserve a home that treats them like films — with crew credits, chapters, and a programmer's note — not content to be monetized between mattress commercials.
The films in From the Vault are in the U.S. public domain, streamed from the Internet Archive. We program them, we don't own them — credit belongs to the people who made them. If you hold rights to anything here and believe it shouldn't be, the Submit button reaches a human, and we'll take it down faster than you can finish the email.
For now the door is the Submit button, and a human answers every knock. (Filmmaker pages, with direct upload, are on the way.)
The houselights are down. Enjoy the show.
